Seas of blue

I made this today.

It's on tigertail with a mix of blue and green coloured glass and seed beads, small metal beads and crimps.

First PMC pieces

Hi all

Went on a pmc (precious metal clay) course at the local University yesterday. The facilities there are fantastic and if any of the girls want to do artistic type stuff in the future this is the place.

Anyway, I made my first pmc pieces yesterday. They're a bit 'organic' but they're mine. Practice makes perfect so they say. The teardrop is orginal PMC and the rest are PMC+.

Just made this one tonight. Hope you like it :)

I've made a few other necklaces and bangles recently so will add some pictures soon.

More Rings :)

Well I really enjoyed making the first rings, so thought I'd have a go at a few more.

Went triangular for this lime green one. It's to go with a set for a jewellery swap.

And decided to try something a bit fancier here with a spiral ring with an amethyst coloured bead.

I think they turned out quite nicely :)

First rings :)

Managed to make a few rings today. They didn't take very long it's just getting around to it.

I really enjoyed it - they're a bit freestyle but I like that.

Hope you like them :)

Busy, Busy, Busy

Unfortunately not much time for jewellery making as I've got an OU assignment to do and have been slightly digressed with some sewing (pics to follow). But hoping to get back to it again soon :) x

Just thought I'd pop a message on about this.

Good luck if you enter :)

Lariat

I decided to have a go at making a lariat.

I really like it, but so does my 8 month old, so it's taking quite a beating. Basically this one is a long length of wax covered cord with a number of jump rings on and a couple of beads on each jump ring.

I've added spirals as well which I made to give it a bit more sparkle.

Hope you like it :)

I won a prize :-)

I'm so pleased. I won a prize for my jewellery.

I am part of crafts beautiful forum and they ran an online party over the weekend. There were lots of challenges and they also asked to showcase jewellery. Well I posted a few bits on the showcase and was chosen (with 5 others) as a winner.

I'm just waiting to see what I get but I was so excited to win. There are some very talented ladies on there and I thought my pieces paled into insignificance. All I can say is wooohoooo :)

Pink!

Well, seeing as I was on here today I thought I'd add a few more pics. The bracelet and cluster necklace were made during an on-line workshop.

The multistrand necklace is a present for my friend's 30th birthday today :)

Jewellery Challenge entry

Hi all

Well unfortunately not a new piece as time is ticking on, but my entry none the less. This one is made from wire and Millefiori beads (which I love). It's a lariat style and was the second thing I ever made - the first was similar but something for me - and was a present for my MIL on her 60th birthday.

Finally another post

It's been a while but I thought I should write some more.

Jewellery making has been a bit slow. It's just trying to find time to fit it all in. Though I can make a little something quite quickly.

This weekend was quite lovely. I went on a workshop with my sister and made a few really nice pieces and more importantly came home with lots of ideas. We had lunch and a bit of shopping. Sunday was Mother's day, so a lazy hour or so in bed and then I made a bracelet and experimented with wire work after.

I'm really loving working with wire and will continue to build on this. I've added some photos of recent makes and hope you like them :)

Welcome to my blog. It's a work in progress at the moment so I'm sure the layout/colour and all that jazz will be updated shortly.

I'll be updating the blog with new jewellery pieces and ideas regularly so keep checking back.
